Volunteering

This show would not be possible without the generous donation of time by our volunteers.  This year, we have several volunteer opportunities available, they are described in detail below.  

Volunteers will receive free admission to the quilt show and a “thank you” goodie bag donated
by our sponsors and local businesses.

Set Up Pipe & Drape 
Time: Friday 7:00-10:00 AM
Number of Volunteers Needed: 6
Description of work:  We will be laying out the booth floor, setting up the bases, uprights and crossbeams for the booth curtains, hanging the curtains and running electricity to all of the booths.
This will require lifting, carrying, and  climbing on ladders.  Volunteers should bring work gloves, comfortable shoes and coffee J

Hanging Quilts 
Time: Friday 9:00-12:00 AM
Number of Volunteers Needed: 10
Description of work:  We will be unfolding, laying out, organizing and hanging all of the quilt contest quilts and labels. 

White Gloves 
Time: One Hour Slots from 9:00-4:00 on Saturday
Number of Timeslots Available: 20
Description of work:  You will be browsing through the quilt contest area, helping people get a closer look at quilts and making sure everything is in order.   White gloves will be provided

Admissions Desk
Time: Two Hour Slots from 9:00-3:00 on Saturday
Number of Timeslots Available: 6
Description of work:  You will be located at the Admissions desk, answering questions, handing out programs, and giving out information.  You also may be asked to help count or tally votes in the Viewers Choice Quilt Show.

Guides
Time: Two Hour Slots from 9:00-3:00 on Saturday
Number of Timeslots Available: 6
Description of work:  You will be helping direct people to the lecture hall, assisting at the information table or in the vendor hall as needed. 

Quilt Take-Down
Time: Saturday 3:30-5:30
Number of Timeslots Available: 6
Description of work:  We will be taking down the quilts, repacking and distributing them to their proper owners using a checkout process.
